CDC Expands Negative COVID-19 Test Requirement

By now you may have heard of the new changes that will affect travelers on international flights arriving in the United States starting January 26. 2021. I thought I would give you a brief overview of what I know now for certain as of today.
  • Departures – Testing requirements are dependent on your DESTINATION, but it is highly recommended that you test prior to departure regardless of destination requirements.
  • ReturnsThe CDC has issued a requirement for a negative COVID-19 test to all air passengers entering the United States.  The test should be administered no earlier than 3 days prior to your departure flight.

*Most resorts have implemented a free or low-cost testing program for their guests.  Should you test positive most resorts have a quarantine program in place, but ultimately the testing,  quarantine protocol, and any cost associated with it are determined by the resort*

I am in direct contact with the experts, staff, and communication groups of the destinations that I work with frequently. This is a fluid situation, and because of that, any or all the above information may change as new information becomes available from the CDC, or from any of my contacts. However, take comfort in the fact that as more information becomes available I will share them with you as soon as I can confirm them.
While many of the destinations and hotels are providing easy and accessible testing options, there are still some details that need to be ironed out or announced. This information is updated as it becomes available.
I know this can be overwhelming, and that you may not even be thinking about traveling during this period. However, as your trusted Travel Advisor, I want to make sure that you had this information in the event that your travel plans change.
I am available to answer any questions you may have about this new announcement or any other travel-related topics. Feel free to respond to this email or book a call with me here https://zakiahassan.as.me/Consult
All the best,
