Dubai is known for extravagant shopping, present-day design, and an enthusiastic nightlife scene. Dubai is the most populous city of the United Arab Emirates. This beautiful city is a cosmopolitan oasis of ultramodern architecture and luxury lifestyle. Here are some amazing facts worth knowing about Dubai:

The police force in Dubai spends more on every one of their supercars than what it costs to send a child to college in the USA.

Dubai’s police force drive vehicles which amaze travelers and show how “advanced” the city is. The Ferrari FF ($500,000), Lamborghini Aventador ($397,000) and an Aston Martin One-77 ($1.79 million). Many of the amazing supercars you see here in the United States were originated in Dubai. Dubai police officers drive Ferraris, Lamborghinis, and even Aston Martin’s regularly. The Police use supercars so they can catch any criminals in a potential car chase. This allows police to catch and arrest criminal in a more timely manner.

Approximately 85 percent of Dubai’s population is foreign

Estimations show that around 15 percent of Dubai’s populace are Emiratis, while the other 85 percent are expatriates. The greater part of the laborers working in Dubai moved to the United Arab Emirates from India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. Emirati nationals are far outnumbered by expats in Dubai. The majority of the population is Indian, Bangladeshi, Pakistani, Asian and Western.

Up to this point, Dubai had no addresses, no postal divisions, no region codes and no postal framework

Because of the rate at which Dubai has been developing, it never built up a standard address framework. Rather than an address line on a mailing mark, citizens could just draw a guide or work out particular guidelines. Dubai is still a growing city that is rapidly changing. This is a nice little fact that most people don’t know about the governmental structure of Dubai.

Home to the World’s Tallest Building

Dubai is one of the fastest growing cities in the world. Dubai is known as the city of sky Skypers because there are currently over 400 skyscrapers throughout this growing city. Many travelers desire to vacation in places where they would have little responsibility. Some travelers want to get away from their normal lives and not think about schedules, itineraries, or organizing. If this describes you, you may want to consider an all-inclusive resort for your next vacation. Here are some of the many advantages;

Everything in Advance

In most cases, paying for your room upfront is just the beginning. Once you get to your destination, you still must pay for every meal, every drink, and every show. If you’re staying at an all-inclusive resort, you can put your wallet away. Once you’ve paid in full for your stay, you’ve also paid in full for meals, beverages (yes, alcoholic beverages too), and most activities too.

Stress-Free

Something about knowing everything is taken care of for you is very relaxing. No more searching google for a reputable restaurant; you’ll have plenty of options when at your resort. If, by chance, you don’t love the restaurant you’ve selected, simply get up, and head to the next one. Remember, you paid for unlimited meals and drinks.

Destination Options

Most all-inclusive resorts are found in some of the most beautiful locations you’ll ever see. If it requires a passport and has a beautiful beach, it most likely has an all-inclusive resort. From Aruba to Zanzibar, you will have a plethora of destination options.

A Fit for Every Budget

There is a resort for every budget! If you’re taking a last-minute trip with a limited budget, you can have a great time at a RIU or Holiday Inn Resort. If you’ve saved up for this trip, and you demand nothing but the best, check out a Zoetry or Karisma Resort.

 Activities

If you like, you can lay out by the pool all day long. But if you are looking for something more to do, check out some of the activities at the resort. Morning Yoga, organized poolside games, snorkeling, or nighttime pool parties, there is always something to do.

 You Can be Social

Since you’ll be seeing the same faces while on vacation, why not make a new friend? Team up for a game of volleyball or meetup at the on-resort nightclub.

Transportation

When you get off the plane and grab your bags, you’ll see a sign for taxis. You can completely ignore this sign because an all-inclusive resort package usually comes with a roundtrip airport shuttle.

The Rooms

The rooms at all-inclusive resorts can truly elevate your experience. Now, if you’re not picky, choose a standard room and save a few dollars. But, if you’re looking to experience luxury, keep in mind;

  • An oceanfront room will give you a direct view of the ocean from your room.
  • A swim-out will allow you to step out of your room directly into the pool.
  • Skyview room is a 2-story room with a jacuzzi on the roof
  • Overwater bungalows offer stand-alone accommodations that are positioned over the ocean.

Fun for Kids

If you need vacation options that make all members of your family happy, an all-inclusive family resort might be your best option! Resort brands like Beaches, Nickelodeon, or Dreams are the perfect place for you to rest and relax while the kids enjoy preplanned activities just for them.

No Surprises

Have you ever checked into a hotel thinking you’ve paid in full for your stay only to be hit with RESORT CHARGES? If you’ve ever stayed in Vegas or Puerto Rico, you’re probably nodding your head. Be prepared to breathe a sigh of relief because there are no surprises and no additional fees at all-inclusive resorts.

A stress-free, family-friendly, safe vacation with all you can eat and all you can drink menus, what more could you ask for in a trip? The only real con is the number of great options might just overwhelm you. So, when you’re ready to book your group an all-inclusive vacation, be sure to get in touch with us for help!

So, you’re ready to start tackling your travel bucket list. Maybe you’ve been dreaming of the Eiffel Tower in Paris, The Pyramids of Egypt, The Deserts of Dubai, or even Mount Fuji in Tokyo.  These beautiful destinations have one thing in common; you have to take a long flight to get there.

Even if you fly out of a major city like New York, you’re looking at spending a long time on a plane.

  • New York to Paris – 8 hours
  • New York to Egypt – 10 hours
  • New York to Dubai – 12.5 hours
  • New York to Tokyo – 14 hours

Just the thought of a long flight might make you want to destroy your bucket list.  But before you take that eraser to your list, put the pencil down, and check out these tips for surviving long flights.

Just Ask:  To begin with, you can always ask for an upgrade from your economy class ticket to business class, economy plus, or even first class. And if no free upgrades are available, consider paying for the upgrade. Upgrading your seat will improve your overall flight experience. You will have more legroom, comfier chairs, and priority boarding options. Those improvements alone will make your long flight more enjoyable.

Pack Snacks:  Let’s face it. When you’re sitting for long periods, binging your favorite Netflix show, you need snacks.  Just because you’ll be sitting in an airplane seat doesn’t change this.  Yes, the flight will include a few rounds of pretzels or biscoff cookies, but that probably won’t be enough.

Bring the Essentials:  Make sure you are carrying the things you need to keep yourself entertained. Pack your headphones, especially if you enjoy listening to music. Noise-canceling headphones will also keep plane noise at bay. Since you’ll have your headphones, you can also download your favorite movies, games, and TV shows on your mobile phone/tablet to keep yourself both engaged and entertained until you finally get to your destination. Don’t forget to pack extra chargers and a power bank just to be on the safe side.

Stay Comfortable:  Another essential tip to surviving long-haul flights is to ensure that you carry the things that will keep you comfortable. Consider bringing sleep masks, neck pillows, a blanket, warm socks, and your favorite hoodie or sweater. These items will keep you comfortable, and you can use and remove them as you see fit.

Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate:  Don’t forget to stay hydrated. The plane’s filtration system can lead to itchy eyes, dry throat, and dehydration. During a long flight, dehydration can make you feel sick and dizzy and can even cause you to pass out. Avoid this by simply hydrating throughout your long flight.

Stay Loose:  Don’t forget to wear comfortable clothes while on the flight. Try to avoid wearing clothing that is tight and restrictive. As cute as those clothing options might be, they will do nothing for your comfort on a long flight!

Carry Extra Masks:  Even on long flights, you are required to wear a face mask.  Carry extras in your carry-on so you can change them if yours gets soiled from sweating, sneezing, or drinking.

Fly at Night:  The best way to survive a long flight is to sleep through it.  Book an evening flight.  Once the pilot dims the lights and you pull out the eye mask, noise-canceling headphones, and blanket you packed, you’ll be on your way to sleeping through most of your trip.

Stay Fresh:  After a 10–14-hour flight, you might feel a little icky.  Especially if you were able to sleep a lot during the flight. Make sure you have your essential toiletries handy in case you need to freshen up a little bit.

And remember, just because the flight is long doesn’t mean it has to be a miserable experience.  Long flights are a means of getting you to your vacation and creating unforgettable memories. Don’t put off your bucket list because it requires a long flight, just take a few of these tips and your time on the plane will just….FLY BY!

When planning a client's trip, we always consider all the information given to us, including a client's budget. Every attempt is made to operate within the limits of the budget and still provide an amazing and unforgettable experience. But, it's a proven fact that a super tight budget forces you to miss some great vacation experiences. The next time you are creating your vacation budget, consider some of these small and affordable upgrades that are sure to improve your all-around vacation experience.

Transportation: When you receive a quote from us, we almost always include transportation to your hotel/resort, and back to the airport at the end of your stay. Depending on the budget guidelines you give us, we may arrange for shared transportation. Shared transportation usually involves a van with multiple travelers. The van may stop at several different resorts/hotels before dropping you off, but you will not have to worry about calling a cab or Uber to get to your destination. This will be taken care of for you.

💎Upgrade: Instead of a shared transport, you could have a private transfer. A driver would greet you, take you to a sedan, and take you straight to your resort/hotel. No stops in between, and no sharing of space with other travelers. The price for private transfers can be split between up to 4 -6 passengers in your party (depending on vehicle size)

Resort Activities: A stay at an all-inclusive resort is a great vacation option. You will have all the food you can imagine. There are usually several restaurants to choose from; even your alcoholic beverages are included. Clubs, shows, and coordinated activities will keep you entertained. And, if you’re feeling adventurous, you can participate in some motorized water activities.

💎Upgrade: Consider venturing off the resort. You can have an unforgettable excursion arranged as part of your trip. Your bucket list items are not out of reach. Zip-lining, culinary tours, rafting, ATV ride, local tours, snorkeling, are all within reach. Excursions vary in price and availability but usually are very affordable.

Room: Depending on your budget, your package price may include a standard room. Standard rooms usually have the same privileges of the other rooms on the resort, but will have either no view or balcony or they may have a view of the courtyard.

💎Upgrade: Instead, consider upgrading and opting for a room with a view. I  personally love a swim-out suite, but if that’s not your thing ,  we suggest rooms with a stunning view of the ocean. Imagine waking up every morning of your vacation and looking directly at the water. Or even better, having breakfast by room service on your balcony that faces the ocean.

It’s true; upgrades will cost you more money. However, upgrades will also increase the quality of the memories of your trip. So, start planning your trip as early as possible. Planning early will ensure that you have the time to pay for some of the upgrades mentioned here. And of course, if we plan your vacation, you can start with a small deposit and pay for your trip in increments.

The pandemic has reemphasized the importance of sharing travel time with our family, no matter how scattered across North America or the globe they may be.

Cruise vacations are perfect for larger family gatherings. Home ports in North America and the Caribbean are convenient hubs for family members who may be flying in from different locations. The major cruise lines are experts at catering to extended families, and a good travel advisor can weave together all the family strands into a single, memorable vacation that will work for everyone.

You can do so much on a modern cruise ship. There is something for everyone in the family. For the younger members, there are kids’ clubs, water slides, and endless kid’s activities. For the more adventurous adults, there are skydiving simulators and climbing walls; and, for older family members, there are casinos, piano bars, and some very impressive evening shows. Cruise ships have space in their restaurants and common areas to accommodate large family groups, but they also have enough room to escape for those needing some alone time.

Cabin accommodations are flexible for all sorts of family units and budgets. Family groups may use balcony suites for the matriarchs and patriarchs to hold court. And, at the other end of the price spectrum, inside cabins with additional bunk beds are a perfect cost-effective option.

Excursions in the ports of call enable everyone to fully experience the places visited on a cruise. They also provide an opportunity to plan a mix of trips, some with the entire family and others with different parts of the family pursuing their own interests. Being part of a larger family group gives you the option of creating your own, personalized destination experiences that best reflect the family’s needs and interests. Again, your travel advisor will be able to help select and book the best, most cost-effective trips for your group.

Lastly, it is always a good idea to build in some pre-cruise time around the home port. Arriving a day or two ahead gives everyone a chance to meet up in advance and shake off any jet lag accumulated (especially if there are family members flying in from other continents). Most importantly, it also lessens the risk of missing the cruise departure because of flight delays. Arriving early allows you to relax and maximize your time together, from that first thrilling walk up the gangplank to the last sunset cocktail on your final night onboard.

Making it Happen

To organize your own successful family cruise vacation, consider these tips:

First, plan early. It can be challenging to gain consensus about timing and destinations, so plan ahead of time when the cruise lines publish their new itineraries. Ensure all family members participate in this initial planning phase so everyone feels ownership of the vacation. The key elements to agree upon are timing (perhaps the cruise is celebrating a family landmark, or maybe it needs to be tied to school holidays), destination (general regions, like the Caribbean, Mediterranean or Alaska), duration (perhaps just a long weekend, or most likely seven nights) and budget, which may vary between family members.

Next, engage with your trusted travel advisor who will be able to pull together flights, recommend the optimum cruise line and cabin needs, identify any applicable group discounts, and finally, book all the arrangements in one neat package. Having an expert coordinate the many options will ensure no single family member has to take on all the work involved.
